| Instructions for Replacing
Mechanical Seal
(or Water Seal) on Ruth-Berry Pumps - For Pump Models - FP2D, JP2D, KP2D, KP3D, LP2D, LP3D,MP3D AND ALL STAGE PUMPS Use Seal No. 325495 |

| 1. | Cut off power Supply, Disconnect wires from motor or pressure switch, drain tank, remove 10 bolts and nuts that hold pump assembly in tank. |
| 2. | Remove 4 bolts that hold diverters in place, remove top diverter. |
| 3. | Use a set of water pump pliers or equal to hold shaft from turning and screw nut off the shaft. |
| 4. | Revome top diverter and slide top plastic impeller off. Repeat procedure until all diverters and impellers are removed, but DO NOT REMOVE SHAFT. |
| 5. | The seat for the seal may be removed with a screwdriver. |
| 6. | After all parts have been thououghly claned, oil seat recess and install seat (be careful not to scar seat face). |
| 7. | Replace other parts as they were removed. Prime pump to service outlet befor starting pump motor. In most instances, it might be advisable to replace the motor bracket gasket. |
